![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In any way I will update the OS X Mountain Lion so hopefully I will not have that problem anymore. So probably when I did the snapshot it was at 32bit for some reason. So I have a look again at the software Overview and I saw that my iMac is running in 64bit and also I open again the Energy Saver and I didn't get the 32bit message on the top. Yes that confused me a lot because on the System Software Overview: I get "64-bit Kernel and Extensions: Yes" maybe when I did the snapshot the iMac was running in 32bit. I'm not sure you'll be able to use HD files with that amount of VRAM. However, the 512MB of VRAM won't allow you to do much in Resolve above SD resolution. I would expect a "new 2011 iMac" to automatically be in 64 bit mode.
